TLDR: Please get vaccinated. Plan to wear a mask this year at MXMW to keep each other safe.

We have been closely monitoring and evaluating the situation around COVID-19 to ensure we are taking the necessary measures to protect the health and wellbeing of all MIDxMIDWST attendees.

The pandemic has required us to remain fluid and proactive in our festival planning logistics and we will continue to closely monitor impactors surrounding public health in the coming months. We want to get together and celebrate art and music with you. First and foremost, though, we want to contribute to the solution, not the problem in our international public health crisis. Due to circumstances outside of our control, it has become more pertinent that we put measures in place to ensure public safety during our event.

As part of MIDxMIDWST’s commitment to our community, we will follow CDC Guidelines and ensure safe, best practices in outdoor event management and provide a public health and safety plan prior to our fest—available here on our site. What we know now:

  • We will be requiring masks on-site throughout the festival

  • We will reduce the number of vendors on-site to provide an open air flow for our festival footprint

  • We have set internal milestones as gauges for additional safety measures and/or potential event postponement.

We will continue monitoring our community and region and will provide additional information as we get closer to our event. For now: get vaccinated and mask up so we can look forward to coming together again in September.
